CHEF'S TABLE
Gloucester, MA
We had a blast making this chef’s table and helping local chef Neal Maver bring his vision to life for his new restaurant Oak to Ember in Gloucester, MA. Knowing Neal was looking for a big, statement piece, we used a huge Ash tree that fell during a storm in West Gloucester. The monster log didn’t fit on our mill so we had to bust out the chainsaw mill to process it last summer. It spent many months drying in our solar kiln and then we built the chef's table in our shop keeping the live edges in tact and finishing the table with Rubio Monocoat. The top, legs, stretcher and bowtie are all made from the same log. If you’re in the area, grab a seat at @oaktoember!
