COTTAGE KITCHEN

West Gloucester, MA

Our own cottage kitchen is a mix of textured neutrals and different types of wood.  We renovated this small kitchen from floor to ceiling to create a super functional, warm space for meals to be made and family to gather.  The cabinets are two-toned (white on top and a stone color on bottom), counter tops are quartz and black walnut and the sink is a beautiful, deep copper farmhouse sink.  We mixed up materials all over the place for that mis-matched, lived-in cottage feel: a brass faucet with the copper sink, stainless appliances and bronze drawer pulls and a hexagonal white tile backsplash meeting an old barn beam over the window.  Our favorite feature is the custom butcher block island in black walnut with a contrasting strip of sugar maple down the middle.
